They "save" you money by providing discounts with a 666 bar code on your card.
Another way of looking at it is they are penalizing and overcharging you
if you refuse to identify yourself and let them monitor all of your shopping habits
and keep track of everything you buy in their computer forever
and sell or share your life's details with whoever they want.

Most club cards on have 666 in the bar codes and not printed as a number. The Safeway and Maika'i cards above were both issued to the author just like you get yours. The odds against this happening are astounding...
